Danny raising money for prostate cancer by growing a moustache!
Today I came across this great initiative to raise money for different men’s health related projects. I thought this would make a great alternative to regular donations so here it is, me joining Movember!
MOVEMBER (THE MONTH FORMERLY KNOWN AS NOVEMBER) IS A MOUSTACHE GROWING CHARITY EVENT HELD DURING NOVEMBER EACH YEAR THAT RAISES FUNDS AND AWARENESS FOR MEN’S HEALTH.
So, if you like my plugins and consider making me a donation, please consider this alternative. Donate some money to my Movember account to support me growing a moustache during November. Or even better: start growing a Movember Moustache yourself. In return, i’ll take weekly pictures of me and my upper lip!

As a man in my 40s and under-going prostate cancer treatment (Moffit Cancer Center), I think what you were doing is great. I hope that men will realize that Prostate Cancer (PCa) strikes whenever it feels like and is something we (men) need to be concerned with a lot earlier than 50. The DRE (digital rectal exam – finger check) revealed nothing the pass several years, it was after I had some problems with frequent urination that the doctors did a PSA check. My results were 90, 110, 118 ng/mL. I wish I had pushed for a PSA test long ago, I found out it is a $10 test (without insurance). I hope anyone reading your posts, will become much more knowledgeable about PCa, and begin an active screening campaign early. PCa is the most common cancer to men (not counting skin cancer #1). It is the second most common cause of cancer death in men.

More power to you for raising funds. My daughter is involved in ‘st. baldricks’ – shaving your head in solidarity with childhood cancer and raising money for same (she raised over $500 this year). She’s also avidly involved in breast cancer fundraising – my ’11 year cancerversary’ is today (4/9) – 11 years since I was told “you have cancer” Eleven more years of life because of research that was done that fine-tuned chemo and radiation to make it easier to handle and more effective.
They’re making great strides, I understand, with prostate cancer (my dad died from that but that was over 20 some years ago) – My prayer is that you never have to taste of what you are asking money for!.
