Post Content Expiration
This plugin gives you the ability to add an expiration date for certain content inside a post.
Let’s say your blog provides coupon codes, which expire after a certain date. This plugin’s makes it easy for you!
Whenever you want certain content to expire, just put it between [exp] and [/exp], and set a valid expiration date for it. The right format is dd/mm/yy. You can find the option box for this below your post’s editor. If you want the content to just disappear, leave the expiration message empty.
[exp]This is the text that you can set an expiration date for.[/exp]
[exp]<a href="#">Of course, links are also possible.</a>[/exp
Update: since v1.1 you can also set custom expiration dates, times and messages for content inside a post. This is for example useful when you have a list of events, that all expire on a different dates. To use those new functions take a look at the following examples.
[exp date="03/08/2010"]This text will expire at August 3, 2010, at 00:00:00 and will be replaced with the custom text given in the box below the post editor[/exp] [exp date="03/08/2010" time="12:05:55"]This text will expire at August 3, 2010 at 12:05:55, and will be replaced with the custom text given in the box below the post editor.[/exp] [exp date="03/08/2010" time="12:05:55" message="Oh noes, this is no more..."] This text will expire at August 3,2010 at 12:05:55 and will be replaced by "Oh noes, this is no more..".[/exp]
So given attributes in the shortcode itself will overrule the settings for the whole post. You can use them in every order and set-up you like. So for example you can only set the message attribute, and hold on to the post expiration date which you set in the box below the post editor. This way it will expire at that given date, but show a custom message.
